Lek costs and our fee

EOR Albania pricing: what does a hire cost?

Two figures shape the monthly bill for an employee in Albania. One is the employer’s statutory contribution, 16.7% of gross pay in 2026 (15% social insurance on pay up to ALL 186,416 a month, plus 1.7% health insurance). The other is our fixed fee, from €599 per employee per month. Salary is what you agree with the candidate.

Pricing questions

What else affects the cost?

How is the fee priced?+
Each hire in Albania is priced from €599 per employee per month. Where it lands depends on what the role needs, for example a unique permit file for a foreign hire, and we confirm it in writing before any contract is signed. Statutory costs are separate and are passed on at cost.
Will a pay rise raise the fee?+
No. It is a fixed monthly amount per employee. If a salary goes up from ALL 150,000 a month to ALL 200,000, the employer contribution rises but our fee does not. At ALL 200,000, contributions add ALL 31,362.40 a month, while the fee stays from €599.
How much do contributions add on top of pay?+
16.7% of gross pay on salaries up to ALL 186,416 a month: 15% social insurance and 1.7% health insurance. Nothing is charged on less than ALL 50,000, the minimum wage. Above the ceiling only health insurance keeps rising, so the rate falls: 15.68% at ALL 200,000 a month. The most an employer pays in social insurance is ALL 27,962.40 a month.
Which costs pass through?+
Gross salary, employer contributions, the bonuses and benefits you approve, and work expenses the employee reclaims. For a foreign hire, the government fee for the unique permit is passed on too: ALL 8,000 for up to a year, ALL 9,000 for up to 2 years or ALL 10,000 for up to 3 years.
Why do quotes show lek and euros?+
Salary and contributions are worked out in lek, because pay goes out in lek unless agreed otherwise and the DPT is paid in lek. Our fee is set in euros. Each quote shows both, with euro figures at the Bank of Albania’s 2 October 2026 rate of ALL 91.98 per euro.
Is there a minimum term or exit cost?+
Ending employment follows Albanian notice rules: 5 days during probation, then 2 weeks up to 6 months of service, 1 month up to 2 years, 2 months up to 5 years and 3 months after that. When the employer ends a contract after 3 years or more, seniority pay of at least 15 days per year of service is added. Any notice period for our own service agreement is written into your quote.
